Where should I start when an airline problem is not resolved?

Identify the exact task, ticket seller, operating airline and existing case before opening another request. The guides below show which records and channel matter for each situation.

What to do next

  1. Choose the closest question

Open the guide that matches the airline, booking channel and task involved.

  2. Check scope and date

Keep airline-, route- and fare-specific limits with the answer.

  3. Confirm the live result

Verify availability, ticket-specific eligibility and any amount before committing money or changing a trip.

Original planning method

What should I reconcile when change and cancellation instructions conflict?

Keep each instruction, its acknowledgment, and the booking display you observed as separate records. In a fictional example, a requested change and a requested cancellation with acknowledgments only do not show what was completed. Tell the actual servicing party what you requested, what responses arrived, and what you want now; ask what actions were processed, what the record currently shows, and whether an earlier request remains active. Keep that reconciliation question separate from a new action instruction.

What to do next

Ask the actual servicing party for the processed-action and current-record status before sending a separate new instruction.

Limitations

  • An acknowledgment or display alone does not establish processing, ticket validity, cancellation, or whether an earlier request remains active.
