Can I combine Air New Zealand credits in different currencies?
The published online combination rule permits up to two credits in the same currency for a new booking. It does not establish that credits in different currencies can be combined online. Adding something to an existing booking has a different limit. Identify the currencies and transaction type before attempting redemption.
What this answer depends on
- Existing direct Air New Zealand credits being redeemed for new travel or applied to an existing booking.
- For a new online booking, Air New Zealand permits up to two credits of the same currency.
- For additions to an existing booking, only one credit may be used in a transaction.
- The airline directs customers with more than two credits, or a credit not recognized by the tool, to its Contact Centre; agency credits remain with the agent.
Important exceptions
- No exchange rate or permission to merge mixed-currency credits is invented here. Airpoints combination has separate market-specific information and is not resolved by the credit-count rule. Agency and group credits require their own servicing channels.
