Changing a WestJet seat without assuming check-in is free

Check the fare and seat category before confirming: changing an assigned seat is not automatically free merely because check-in has opened. WestJet EconoFlex includes Standard seat selection. Econo and UltraBasic can incur a charge to change a preassigned seat. UltraBasic seats are assigned in the back at check-in, and companions may not be seated together. A different available seat can cost extra. Compare Standard, Exit Row, and Extended Comfort as different products rather than interchangeable map locations. Premium and Business include selection within the purchased cabin. Before accepting a change, check the traveler, flight, and amount shown. For a previous seat payment, keep the receipt and verify the applicable exchange or refund terms instead of assuming that a new selection cancels the old charge.
