WestJet online check-in: seats, documents, and airport steps

The WestJet app supports check-in, travel-document checks, baggage additions, seat changes, and boarding-pass access. A changed seat can still cost extra. Econo and UltraBasic can carry a charge to change a preassigned seat, while EconoFlex includes Standard selection. Review the seat price before completing the transaction; opening check-in does not remove every seating charge. If online check-in is unavailable, review whether a partner operates the flight or additional verification is required. WestJet says recent booking changes and certain special services can also prevent online check-in. Its airport kiosks print boarding passes and bag tags but do not perform check-in. Do not rely on finding a kiosk as a substitute for arranging an eligible online or staffed check-in route.
