What exactly does an EVABidDeal offer cover: one flight, one passenger or the whole booking?

You choose eligible flights separately, but the displayed bid is per passenger and applies to everyone in that booking reference. EVA limits EVABidDeal to the next higher cabin, and the offer window closes 50 hours before each eligible flight. To bid for selected travelers only, EVA directs you to the airline or original travel agent to split the booking first.

Carry-on, checked baggage, pet carrier and stroller prepared for airport travel

What this answer depends on

  • EVABidDeal for eligible EVA-issued, EVA-operated confirmed flights; no bid-price recommendation or acceptance guarantee
  • An invitation does not mean every flight qualifies. Inspect the eligible sectors in the official form and multiply the per-passenger amount by the included travelers before submitting. Separate booking references are assessed separately; a successful offer on one reference does not carry another reference with it.
  • The bid is a request for the next cabin, not a confirmed purchase of any cabin shown in marketing images. EVA says payment is taken only for a successful offer. Keep the offer confirmation and then look for the acceptance result; do not describe yourself as upgraded merely because the form accepted a bid.
  • EVABidDeal lets travelers select eligible flights separately; each bid amount is per passenger and applies to all passengers in the booking.
  • EVABidDeal is limited to the next higher cabin and closes 50 hours before each eligible departure.
  • EVA directs selected-traveler-only bidders to EVA or the original agent to split the reservation first.
  • EVABidDeal eligibility is flight-specific, separate booking references are assessed independently, and listed invalidating conditions include checked-in status before the offer window closes.
  • EVA deducts payment only when the offer succeeds.

Important exceptions

  • Eligibility is dynamic. The FAQ excludes various ticket and booking types and says a checked-in status before the offer window closes can invalidate an offer. No success probability, best bid, onward-sector upgrade or exact seat is promised. Review all current conditions before submitting.

What to do next

  1. Use the eligibility form linked from EVA’s official site and inspect the eligible flight segments.

  2. Check the included passengers and the total amount before submitting.

  3. Resolve a selected-traveler-only request with EVA or the original agent before bidding.

  4. Submit within the stated window and retain both the offer record and the later acceptance or rejection result.

  5. Have the booking reference, passenger count, eligible sectors, current cabin, payment total and offer email.

More booking questions

Can I use the bid to skip Premium Economy on a three-cabin flight?

EVA says EVABidDeal is limited to the next higher cabin; it is not a continuous two-cabin jump.
