Turkish Airlines: changing a seat before check-in

A free seat selection follows a different rule: Turkish permits changes through the end of online check-in under its published conditions. Check the seat category and your check-in status before starting. The same-category provision should not be read as a free move to any seat, or as a rule that continues unchanged after you start check-in. The policy also excludes codeshare flights operated by another airline. If Turkish changes your selected seat for operational reasons, treat that as a separate issue from choosing to move yourself. Keep the paid-seat receipt and ask about the undelivered seat service. Turkish addresses that reimbursement separately from the flight ticket; do not cancel the flight simply to investigate the seat payment.
