Finnair online check-in and seat selection
Use the instructions for the actual operating airline when your flight is not operated by Finnair or Norra. Checking in does not necessarily give you a free choice of any remaining seat. If your ticket does not include seat selection and you have not purchased one, Finnair assigns a seat at check-in. You can purchase another available seat. Flex includes Standard and Preferred selection, while other fare conditions must be checked separately. Before confirming, distinguish accepting an assignment from buying a different seat. Review the current price in your booking rather than relying on a general fee estimate. Also check the route-specific check-in deadline: the time online check-in opens is not the time you should reach the airport or the boarding gate.
