Its codeshare provision refers to the marketing carrier where that carrier’s provisions differ from the operator’s. A Delta–Aeromexico trip therefore cannot be priced correctly simply by looking at whose aircraft operates each flight. Identify whether the journey is on one ticket, where that ticket starts and ends, and the marketing and operating carriers. Read the baggage disclosure on the ticket and ask the seller to identify the applicable allowance and fee schedule. Keep carry-on handling and checked-bag pricing as separate questions. Do not add a Delta domestic fee and an Aeromexico fee automatically for every connection. Conversely, do not assume the same treatment extends across separately purchased tickets or a journey outside the rule’s U.S. scope. Get the actual quote using the fare, ticket date, benefits, and bag measurements, and keep the disclosure with the receipt.
