British Airways extra-bag charges: separate another bag from an overweight bag

Its Basic fare does not include checked baggage. An extra bag and a bag above the normal weight allowance are different charge questions. Additional baggage can be purchased before check-in; once checked in, the airline directs the purchase to the airport. Open Manage My Booking and check the allowance for each traveler. Compare the offered extra-bag price with the overweight treatment for your packed bag. Keep dimensions and weight separate, and do not assume buying another piece makes a heavy single bag acceptable. For a travel-agent booking, confirm that the ticket has been issued before expecting the baggage purchase option. Save the receipt and check the journey to which it applies. If you have already checked in, ask about the available airport purchase route rather than repeatedly attempting the pre-check-in option. A quote for one direction or passenger should not be treated as an inclusive price for the whole group’s round trip.
