What fees and fare differences may apply when changing a flight with Korean Air?

For international SKYPASS awards, Korean Air publishes a reissue charge of KRW 30,000, with CAD 30 for departures from Canada and IDR 350,000 for departures from Indonesia. A different itinerary, booking class or date can also require additional miles, taxes and fuel surcharges. Korea domestic SKYPASS award changes have no change fee, but mileage and other price adjustments can still apply. Domestic and international awards are not interchangeable. Do not use the no-change-fee domestic rule to price an international trip. For a SKYPASS SkyTeam award, arrange the required reissue through a Korean Air service center or branch. If another airline’s mileage program issued the award, contact that program instead of applying SKYPASS fees automatically. Ask for the replacement award availability and both the cash and mileage totals before confirming. Handle the request before departure: no-show charges are separate from ordinary change charges. Keep the replacement ticket and mileage transaction record after the exchange.
