ANA baggage allowance: Economy does not always include two checked bags
The allowance printed on the ticket is the relevant starting point. Standard per-piece weights are 23 kg in Economy or Premium Economy and 32 kg in Business or First, with total dimensions up to 158 cm including wheels and handles. An ANA Japan domestic flight included in an international itinerary follows the international baggage rules. A codeshare or another airline’s segment may change which rules apply. Before buying a suitcase or extra allowance, read both the included piece count and each piece’s limit; one does not replace the other. A seat in a particular cabin is not enough information to calculate the full allowance when the fare conditions differ.

ANA carry-on allowance: one main bag and one personal item share 10 kg
On ANA Group-operated flights, you may bring one carry-on bag and one personal item with a combined weight of up to 10 kg. For flights boarding on or after July 1, 2026, the personal item must be within 40 × 30 × 20 cm and fit completely under the seat ahead. This is a personal-item change, not a new size allowance for the main suitcase. The main bag allowance depends on aircraft size. On aircraft with at least 100 seats, the limits are 55 × 40 × 25 cm and 115 cm total dimensions. On aircraft with fewer than 100 seats, they are 45 × 35 × 20 cm and 100 cm total. Plan for the smaller aircraft when your journey includes one, and weigh both cabin items together. A second full-size backpack is not automatically a personal item merely because you can carry it on your shoulder.
