Changing a Singapore Airlines seat after you have paid or checked in

Online seat changes are permitted until 1.5 hours before departure, and a successful change requires a new boarding pass. A previous seat payment is not automatically a credit. On the same unchanged flight, Singapore’s advance-seat terms say that an earlier seat-selection fee is neither refunded nor applied toward a new selection. Read the new seat’s price before confirming instead of assuming you will pay only a difference. Changing the flight is a different situation from changing seats on the same flight. Where the flight changes but the destination stays the same, Singapore describes requesting a transfer of the original seat type through its contact center, subject to conditions. Keep the original receipt and identify which of these situations applies before asking for help.
