Where do I clear immigration when connecting from an international flight to a domestic flight at Narita?

Narita directs you to complete arrival immigration in the terminal where the international flight arrives. If the domestic flight uses another terminal, transfer through the public area afterward, complete the domestic airline’s remaining check-in tasks and undergo domestic security. Do not head for an international airside transfer bus as a way to avoid the arrival process.
