Finnair damaged suitcase: report first, then choose the repair partner

For ordinary baggage damage, report online or at Arrival Service within seven days after the flight. Supply the flight and baggage-receipt details, damage description and photographs. Normal wear that does not affect usability is excluded.

Important unknowns

  • The source does not establish the outcome of an individual request. Confirm current instructions with the airline; the effective date of these provisions is not established.

What to do next

  1. Identify the account

The report number brings repair instructions. Its two-month validity does not extend the initial reporting limit.

  2. Use the official recovery route

Choose the normal-bag repair route by where you live. Residents of Finland, Sweden, Norway or Denmark can use Bag Support or an official Samsonite store. Rimowa repairs instead go to Dolfi1920. Residents elsewhere use Dolfi1920.

  3. Keep your request focused

Finnair primarily seeks repair; reporting does not itself guarantee replacement. Keep the damaged suitcase and documents until the request is fully resolved. These partner instructions do not establish a repair route for wheelchairs, instruments or other special baggage.
