  1. Identify the account

    For an upgrade bought with money, the full upgrade fee returns only if you cancel at least 24 hours before departure. Cancelling less than 24 hours before departure does not refund that fee.

    Avios or upgrade benefits are refunded unless you neither cancel nor board: a no-show.

  3. Keep your request focused

    Upgrade benefits retain their original expiry after refund. Expired benefits are not returned. Check the benefit’s own date before expecting a fresh validity period.
