EVA unused prepaid baggage: separate the use period from the refund deadline

For existing prepaid baggage you have not used, find the purchase date and receipt. EVA states a one-year use period and a two-year refund-request period for unused allowance. Both run from purchase. Passing the use period is therefore different from reaching the published refund deadline.

Important unknowns

  • The source does not establish the outcome of an individual request. Confirm current instructions with the airline; the effective date of these provisions is not established.

What to do next

  1. Identify the account

Request the refund through the original purchase channel. If it cannot be processed online, contact the local EVA Reservation Center with the purchase reference and details of the unused allowance.

  2. Use the official recovery route

These terms concern ordinary prepaid baggage for a ticket beginning 695 on an EVA-operated flight. Infant tickets, pets, oversized or overweight baggage and sports equipment are excluded from this product. It is limited to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred to another passenger.
