Three Aeromexico ticket issue dates: choose a branch and hold the overlap

Before comparing a SkyMiles posting with an expectation, identify which earning branch you are checking. This exercise uses three hypothetical ticket records so the date question stays visible instead of disappearing inside a balance calculation.

Important unknowns

  • The source does not establish the outcome of an individual request. Confirm current instructions with the airline; the effective date of these provisions is not established.

What to do next

  1. Identify the account

These fictional records concern otherwise qualifying completed, paid non-Basic, non-Cuba US/Mexico flights.

  2. Use the official recovery route

For Aeromexico-marketed 006 tickets, issue on/after September 10, 2026 uses fare-class percentages of Delta-calculated distance; on/before that date receives Delta-marketed/Delta-operated earning treatment. Both include September 10. Aeromexico Connect marketing/operation qualifies; otherwise SkyTeam marketing and operation apply. Only listed purchased classes earn; unlisted classes and Award Travel earn none. Use Delta-calculated distance, not a measured flight path.

  3. Keep your request focused

Issued September 9: the earlier treatment. Issued September 11: the fare-class/distance branch. Issued September 10: unresolved overlap; obtain clarification. These are issue dates, not dates of travel. No rate or amount is calculated for the earlier branch.

  4. Check the result

For your own record, transcribe the ticket number, date label, marketing and operating details, and purchased-class evidence from their actual documents. Keep any later document and timestamp separately; this exercise supplies no rule that a reissue creates a fresh earning clock. Do not replace a missing field with a date remembered from a different message.

  5. Scope and limitations

Give the reviewer the identified record and the exact question still open. Keep a private copy of the reply with the receipt so a later explanation can be compared with the information originally supplied.

  6. Practical check 6

Ask: “Please identify the applicable earning basis for this ticket and explain any unclear date wording.”

  7. Practical check 7

Once the basis is established, check the amount separately. A label or date explanation can resolve one discrepancy while leaving another unanswered. This exercise supplies neither a personal earning estimate nor a guaranteed correction, and it does not replace the separate missing-credit timing guidance.
