What to do next

1. Identify the account

   Delta may audit without notice. If it finds discrepancies or violations, it may delay, decline or cancel miles, Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs), status or redemptions, or suspend benefits and account access pending resolution.

2. Use the official recovery route

   While access is inhibited, Delta may permit accrual but allows no redemptions or other transactions. Outstanding awards, upgrade certificates and other redemptions are canceled. Canceled awards/certificates must be surrendered if requested. New accrual does not prove ticket validity.

3. Keep your request focused

   Keep the actual notice, its date and any case reference beside the planned journey. Identify each award ticket, passenger and flight you intend to use. Do not rely only on an old itinerary email when asking about the current situation.

4. Check the result

   Ask Delta two separate questions: what restriction applies to the account, and what is the actual status of each planned award? Refer to the notice and specific ticket rather than requesting only help signing in. Ask what action Delta requires from you for that identified record.

5. Scope and limitations

   Retain the response with the affected ticket details. If it explains account access but leaves a planned flight unanswered, identify that remaining question explicitly. Compare any subsequent ticket or account communication with the earlier response before relying on an assumed resolution.
