Share a delayed bag’s Find My location with Delta

First report the delayed bag at Delta’s Baggage Service Office. If it contains an AirTag or Find My accessory, you can then share its location with Delta.

Important unknowns

  • The source does not establish the outcome of an individual request. Confirm current instructions with the airline; the effective date of these provisions is not established.

What to do next

  1. Identify the account

In Apple’s Find My app, select the item inside the bag, choose “Share Item Location” and follow the instructions to generate a link.

  2. Use the official recovery route

Open Delta Bag Tracking from Delta’s baggage-help page. Enter the link, your ten-digit bag tag number and trip confirmation number, then select “Share.” In the Fly Delta app, use the delayed-bag form’s “Share Find My Item Location” field instead.

  3. Keep your request focused

Sharing is optional. You can stop it at any time; it ends when you are reunited with the bag and expires automatically after seven days. The location link supplements the existing report.
