Flight-number exclusion first: KLM and Virgin SkyMiles records

Check the marketing flight number against stated exclusions before estimating miles. Keep the operating-airline field separate; it answers another part of eligibility.

  1. Identify the account

    Assume otherwise qualifying completed paid non-Basic, non-Cuba records on or after January 1, 2024. The labels below illustrate a filter; no actual service is identified.

  2. Use the official recovery route

    KLM-marketed numbers KL100–199 and KL211–399 are excluded. Operation must be KLM, KLM Cityhopper or a KL-coded SkyTeam partner. Virgin’s excluded numbers are VS7490–7499, VS7650–8199 and VS8210–9989; its table requires SkyTeam marketing and SkyTeam-member operation. Both require listed purchased classes, exclude Award Travel and use Delta-calculated distance.

  3. Keep your request focused

    KL199: excluded. KL200: outside the named interval; eligibility unresolved. VS7499: excluded. VS7500: outside the named intervals; eligibility unresolved.

  4. Check the result

    Outside an excluded interval does not establish earning eligibility.

  5. Scope and limitations

    For your own check, preserve the complete identifier exactly as it appears on the ticket and record the source field you copied. If two documents show different identifiers, keep both with their labels and ask which one is being assessed. Do not silently combine letters from one field with digits from another.

  6. Practical check 6

    Give the eventual enquiry a short result for each record: matched exclusion, no matched exclusion, or identifier unclear. Keep any unresolved conditions beside that result. This lets the reviewer see whether the problem is a specific negative match or incomplete information elsewhere.
