China Eastern H: select the geography table before calculating miles

A purchased-class letter is only one input to an earning check. Put the flight’s actual geography beside it before selecting a percentage. This worked example holds the letter constant so a difference in table scope becomes visible.

Important unknowns

  • The source does not establish the outcome of an individual request. Confirm current instructions with the airline; the effective date of these provisions is not established.

What to do next

  1. Identify the account

For travel on/after May 1, 2024, China Eastern’s H row gives 100% of Delta-calculated distance internationally and 30% domestically within China. Qualifying flights are marketed by China Eastern or Shanghai and operated by China Eastern, Shanghai or another SkyTeam member. Only listed purchased classes qualify; unlisted classes and Award Travel earn none.

  2. Use the official recovery route

Assume two otherwise qualifying completed, paid non-Basic, non-Cuba segment records after that date, both purchased H, each with hypothetical Delta-calculated distance of 1,000 miles. Domestic China: 1,000 × 30% = 300. International: 1,000 × 100% = 1,000. These are table-mile components, not personal account totals.

  3. Keep your request focused

For an actual check, build one record per segment with the endpoints, flown date, marketing number, operator and purchased-class evidence. Keep each field’s document wording. A broad cabin description or a letter remembered from another sector is an unanswered question, not replacement evidence.

  4. Check the result

Next, identify the table you applied and retain the distance input used with it. If a necessary field is missing, ask for that field before presenting an expected amount. This makes a later enquiry reproducible without relying on a current total balance or an unrelated itinerary.

  5. Scope and limitations

If the posting differs, show which specific comparison is unresolved: the route-table selection, purchased class, distance input or eventual amount. Keep the response with the original record. Use the existing missing-credit guidance for timing and submission questions rather than deriving a new deadline from this calculation.

  6. Practical check 6

The arithmetic supplies no MQD result, Medallion bonus or final account-total promise. It uses no GPS distance or real route, and it does not predict availability, establish a different class’s treatment or guarantee a correction.
