Lost your BA Club card with your wallet? Separate replacement from account protection

If a stolen wallet or other belongings included your Club card and you are concerned about fraudulent account activity, contact the Club. BA says it can add an account note and arrange a watch on Avios spending. Separately, Gold members can order a lost or broken card online, allowing up to four weeks; ordering may be unavailable within two months of the membership year ending.

What to do next

  1. Identify the account

First identify what happened and the response you need. A missing card, inability to access the account and an unfamiliar Avios transaction are different problems. Explain each relevant issue rather than submitting only a replacement request and leaving an account concern unstated.

  2. Use the official recovery route

Prepare a short private incident note: member identity, when you noticed the loss, what was lost and any account entry you want BA to examine. Distinguish an observed transaction from a concern that something might happen. Keep passwords and verification codes out of that note.

  3. Keep your request focused

When you contact the Club, ask what has been recorded and whether any further action is needed from you. Retain the response and case reference. If a replacement is also needed, identify that request separately so you can follow up on the relevant outcome.

  4. Check the result

The described watch does not promise that spending is blocked, fraud is prevented or points are restored. The replacement guidance does not guarantee delivery for an upcoming trip. Ask about any unresolved travel or account question before relying on an assumed result.
