Changed Austrian flight: reconcile paid seats and bags separately

A replacement ticket is not proof that all extras transferred.

Important unknowns

  • The source does not establish the outcome of an individual request. Confirm current instructions with the airline; the effective date of these provisions is not established.

What to do next

  1. Identify the account

Reselect a seat subject to availability. Austrian says prior seat payments can be applied to new seating on Lufthansa Group airlines; a lower seat price does not produce a cash difference refund.

  2. Use the official recovery route

Prepaid bags usually transfer only when route and operating airline stay unchanged. Otherwise contact the Service Centre; an untransferred bag payment is not necessarily refundable.

  3. Keep your request focused

Ask the Service Centre about other services that cannot transfer.

  4. Check the result

Use one row for each purchase, with its old flight, amount, new flight and the evidence of its new status. Mark “confirmed,” “needs reselection” or “unresolved” from the actual record, rather than copying “ticket reissued” into every row.

  5. Scope and limitations

Seat value after a route change remains unresolved here; do not assume a separate, freely transferable credit.

  6. Practical check 6

Once the new flight is issued, compare the ancillary confirmations with that list. Ask about any unaccounted payment using its receipt and affected flight. This guide covers voluntary changes and establishes no refund merely because an extra did not carry over.
