  1. Identify the account

    Fictional example, all times UTC: the held departure is Friday 18:00 and the wanted departure Friday 12:00. Their cutoffs are Thursday 18:00 and Friday 06:00, so Thursday 18:00 controls.

  2. Use the official recovery route

    This requires an issued, changeable paid ticket booked through ANA's website or phone, with a simple one-way, return or open-jaw itinerary. Agency or Mexico-site bookings, multicity trips, mixed cabins and passenger age-category changes are excluded online. Unissued reservations and awards use other processes. Cancel an upgrade before changing an upgraded flight. If online changes are unavailable, ask ANA for assistance; the online cutoff does not establish an assisted-change deadline.
