What verified rules apply to an unaccompanied minor traveling with Alaska Airlines?

Before booking a child who will travel alone with Alaska Airlines, check the age limits, eligible flights, fee and airport handoff rules. These requirements can determine whether the trip is allowed.

What to do next

  1. Check the exact itinerary

Compare the child's age with every flight and route in the proposed Alaska trip.

  2. Record both adults

Keep the sending and receiving adults' identification and contact details together.

  3. Confirm the airport handoff

Use Alaska's published process for arrival, escort and release rather than a general airport assumption.

  4. Recheck before travel

Review the same conditions after any flight, route or operating-airline change.
