Air Canada rebooked your trip: recheck the eUpgrade separately

After an involuntary itinerary change, check whether your Air Canada eUpgrade survived. The airline tries to maintain it during irregular operations, but upgraded space is not guaranteed.

Important unknowns

  • The source does not establish the outcome of an individual request. Confirm current instructions with the airline; the effective date of these provisions is not established.

What to do next

  1. Identify the account

If the upgrade was lost, request it again online, through Reservations or with an airport agent. Review the replacement itinerary and upgrade status together before treating the arrangements as complete.

  2. Use the official recovery route

If involuntary rebooking makes the journey longer, the eUpgrade credits and add-on charged cannot exceed the original amounts. Keep those original amounts available when checking the revised booking.

  3. Keep your request focused

There is also a specific credit exception: if you previously requested an eUpgrade and then receive a complimentary departure upgrade because of disruption, the credits for that request are not returned.
